Something I’m wearing to allll the holiday parties coming up? A confident, white smile. 😁 Hey y’all! This is my first giveaway of the season, and I am so excited to share it with you! If you have been following along for a couple of months, you know that I have been testing a new teeth whitening system. As promised, I’m sharing the results with you all, and also giving away a FREE kit ($150 value) to one of you reading. (Details at the end of my post.)
I’ll start by telling you a bit about my teeth whitening history. Because I’m a frequent coffee, tea, and wine drinker, my teeth definitely experience staining as a result. I have used crest white strips, whitening toothpaste, professional whitening (after Invisalign), and while some gave me decent results, they all made my teeth so sensitive. Therefore, teeth sensitivity was a primary concern when I started the teeth whitening system from Smile Brilliant. I was so happy to learn about the desensitizing gel that comes with your teeth whitening kit from Smile Brilliant. You simply put on the desensitizing gel after your whitening session, and it soothes any sensitivity you may have encountered from the whitening gel. Something that I have found is that whitening before bed is the best for sensitivity because it allows your teeth to go untouched from food/drink for several hours. Also, if you know you are more sensitive, start off with a shorter whitening session. Just my bit of advice!
Something really awesome about this kit is that you don’t need a dentist appointment to begin! You don’t even have to leave your house. You make your own impressions right at home from the supplies that Smile Brilliant sends over. It is perfect for those of you who are so busy and always on the go!
I was very impressed with how much whiter my teeth were just after a few uses! My mom and my husband even noticed that my teeth were whiter after a couple sessions. I’m so happy to have a whiter smile going into the new year, and all of the events leading up! I am beyond happy with the results. Check out my before and after below: You can see that just the slightest surface staining I had is completely gone!

I can’t believe it is already December first as I’m writing this! I am so excited to share this with y’all, as I have had so much fun putting it together. Last year, I remember thinking I was going to make some great gift guides for this year! All year long, I have kept an open note on my phone and computer to add to this list. I hope that this helps you with your shopping this year. I know that it can be stressful to find the perfect item for everyone on your list. I appreciate you using my links–I make a very small commission from these retailers, and it helps my small business grow!
IT Cosmetics Brush Set: I actually received this same set a few years ago for Christmas, and I love them SO much! They feel so luxurious and soft on your skin, and hold up nicely. I also love that it comes with a cute quilted travel case!
MVMT Galla Watch: A wonderful quality watch that goes with everything! I wear mine almost every day! Comes in multiple colors (I have my eye on the black one for this year 😉 ).
Chanel Chance Perfume: This perfume smells soooo lovely. It is perfect for everyday. Sophisticated and not too heavy. I got a sample from this from Nordstrom, and it will for sure be my next perfume purchase.
Ugg Slippers: I have these in tan and black. Best slippers ever! I’ve had mine at least 5 years, and they are still looking great.
Slip Pillow Case: I treated myself to this last year for Christmas, and I don’t even travel without it now! There are so many benefits to sleeping on a silk pillowcase. Perfect gift for any lady in your life! (comes in multiple colors.)
Dyson Hair Dryer: I know, I know. This is insanely expensive. I received this as a gift 3 years ago, and it is the best dang hair dryer I have ever used. It cuts your drying time down, lessens the amount of frizz, and is much less damaging to your hair. I loveeee mine.
Travel Mirror: I couldn’t find my exact travel mirror that I have personally, but this one has great reviews! Perfect for someone who travels a lot, or simply someone who wants a smaller mirror for detailed makeup everyday. It has built in lights so you can do your makeup anywhere!
Metal Crossbody: I wasn’t going to include a purse on my gift guide, but this one is so unique and has become one of my favorite pieces this year. It adds some edge to any outfit. I’ll link the gold version here as well!
Chunky Hoops: We had these at Pink Magnolia a while back, and I missed out on buying them. They are so classic, yet trendy at the same time. Perfect every day hoop for any lady!
Monogram Wine Glasses: These are such a great gift for any hostess or wine lover in your life! I love the shape of them, and personalized gifts are always so special!
Polaroid Camera: I think this is such a fun gift for someone who is an “in the moment” type of person. We had one of these cameras at our wedding, and we loved the special memories that it created.
Computer Side Table: I wanted to include this item because it is something that I use almost every day, in fact, I’m using it right now as I type out this blog post. It is so perfect for someone who works on their computer a lot at home. You can easily move it around the house, and sit anywhere with your computer! It also looks very stylish in whatever room you put it in!
Faux Fur Blanket: One of the best purchases Jordan and I made after we got married. This blanked is the best quality and makes your bedroom/living room look so luxurious and cozy. It is heavy and very soft–We like to keep it at the foot of our bed.
EyeShadow Palette–I use this eyeshadow palette every single day. I even used it on my wedding day! Great quality, and very versatile palette for any gal.
Central Perk Coffee Mug: So cute for the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. lover in your life, I’ve had my eye on this one. (hint hint Jordan).
iPhone Charger Organizer: This is a great idea for your tech girl who has an Apple Watch and air pods! You can charge all of your things in one place in an organized fashion.
Cozy Plaid Scarf: This is such a great quality scarf! So soft (80% cashmere). I have the cranberry colored one, and it comes in so many other color options!
Ear Huggie Earrings: I just ordered these! Very inexpensive, and highly rated on Amazon. Thanks, Dani Austin for sharing about these!
Alright, I haven’t shared a recipe on here in SO long! Currently eating sweet potato soufflé while writing about it on a Sunday afternoon, life is good. This one is sure to please, I promise. (Inspired by Alan Jackson’s recipe.). This is the only dish that I care about my mom making year after year to put on the table at Thanksgiving. Is it a side? Is it a dessert? I’ll leave that up to you. I eat it as both, and it is so delicious! 😆
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 Large Sweet Potatoes
1/2 tsp of Salt
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/3 stick of butter
1/4 cup of light brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans (I like to leave these whole, and the more the merrier)
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Wash sweet potatoes and wrap with tin foil. Bake for 1.5 hrs. (You can also cook in crockpot on high for 4 hrs.)
Let potatoes cool down for 10 minutes or so. Peel potatoes and mash together with 1 stick of butter.
Add in the rest of the ingredients, mix well until combined.
Pour into a greased casserole dish (Momma uses more butter for this).
Bake for 30 min
Take dish out and add the topping. Spread the butter over the top and let it melt into the dish. Sprinkle brown sugar and pecans.
Bake for an additional 10-15 min
ENJOY!! 😊 Thanks for reading. ♥️

If Fall boots have been on your mind, you are in the right place. I am always so excited to pull them out each year and add to the collection. A different type of boot can change your outfit entirely. I’m here to talk about Fall boots that I truly love to create outfits with, where to get them, and how to style them (I’ve narrowed it down to 5 different types). I’ll be linking some exact boots from my pictures and some that are verryy similar if I’m unable to find the exact pair. I hope you enjoy another Fall outfit themed blog post from me! To shop these items, simply click the picture of the specific boot you want to shop below, and it will take you directly to that retailer.
I’ll start with my most recent addition to the fam: the Winona Bootie. I had my eye on these for almost two months before ordering them, and I am so glad that I did. They are so perfect. I love the slight detail across them that make them different than all the other taupe, pointed toe, block-heel booties that you see everywhere on Instagram. The quality is wonderful, and they are also pretty comfy being a lower heel! They are still on sale for 40% off, and they come in so many colors! Linking all of the colors below:
Suede Block Heel Bootie: This is a pair that I bought last year, and I am still loving! I love how sleek the covered block heel is. You can dress these up with skirts, dresses, or more casual with jeans and a leather jacket. These also come in multiple colors and I’ll link them all below:
Black “Sock” Bootie: These are what I put on when I want to add a bit of “sass” to my outfit, and also dress it up. I love the look of these with tights and a dress. I was unable to find my exact boots, but I’m linking a very similar pair below under $100!
Fitted Over The Knee Boots: I am so glad that this trend is still going. I love the added bit of warmth OTK boots add to your outfit. These, in particular have been so great in my opinion. Last year, I walked around Charleston alllll day long in these, and my feet felt just fine at the end of the day. They don’t slide down too much either, which is great for a slip on boot with no ties! I like the look of no ties or zippers especially if I’m wearing them with skirts. They take a little more work to get on and off, but I think it’s a more sleek look. Linking the same exact pair below:
Tied Over the Knee Boots: Personally, I prefer to wear these over jeans. OTK boots that are more adjustable tend to give you more room to fit jeans underneath, which is great for colder months. I’m liking the most similar pair I could find below. Mine are from Nordstrom Rack a couple years ago!
As always, thank you so much for reading! If you have any feedback for me, please comment below or head over to my latest instagram post. I’d love to hear from you. I hope that you found this post helpful in adding some staple boots to your closet this year!

Hey there! Thanks for coming back to hang out! A couple weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about causal Fall outfits, and I got a really great response from it, so thank you! I’ve been thinking that I should also share some activewear/ athleisure since that is honestly what I wear half the time when I am working from home, walking Josie, or running around town (aka going to Target 🤣). All of these items in this blog post are items that I have purchased myself and truly love! These pieces are from multiple different retailers including, Fabletics, Target, Nordstrom Rack, & Amazon!
Shop This Outfit:
I will tell you a bit about Fabletics first (No, this post is not sponsored!), since I personally took forever to try it out! I ordered my first pairs of leggings from Fabletics back in June, and I signed up for their VIP membership that allows you to get your first pairs for $24! I can honestly say now that I have been wearing several items from Fabletics over the past few months, that the quality is wonderful! I wear the leggings for pure barre, running errands, walking Josie, etc. They hold up nicely, and they look/feel expensive! They have definitely become my go-to leggings. Also, this monochromatic white camo tee is my one of my new favs! I wear with with jeans as well–It is so versatile. Here is a link if you would like to try out Fabletics for yourself!
Shop This Outfit:
So, if I’m not in leggings lately, I have been livingggg in these joggers! They are such great quality joggers (under $30!). I am not afraid to wear these in public because they are so chic. They do not look like sweat pants, and I still feel put together in them. They are almost like leggings, but even more comfortable in my opinion. They come in green as well, and I may be ordering those because I love them that much. They fit TTS and all sizes are in stock!
Shop This Outfit:
Okay, these racer back tanks are an absolute steal! They come in packs of 3 for $23.99! I wear them mainly to pure barre. I have washed and dried mine several times. No shrinking or anything like that. They fit TTS.
These slides are also so cute and perfect for sliding on before and after going to pure barre!!
Shop This Cozy Sweatshirt:
I just picked this up last weekend at Target! I swear the quality at Target just gets better and better. This is one of the softest, easy pullovers I’ve ever worn (even softer than my aerie sweatshirts!) This is perfect for pairing with leggings or jeans. I love to wear it off the shoulder! I got my normal size (XS).
Shop Adidas Cloudfoam Sneakers:
These Adidas sneaks are not new to me. I have had this pair for over a year now! I love them because they are so comfortable, and when they get dirty, I simply throw them in a garment bag and toss them in the wash! I’ve probably washed this pair about 10 times, and they are still holding up nicely. My mom has these too and loves them! Linking multiple colors!
Shop Cute Adidas Hats:
My lil Adidas hat has become the perfect accessory for bad hair days or beach days! Very cute and light weight. Comes in so many color options!!
Thank y’all so much for reading, and hanging out for a bit! Let me know what kind of blog posts you would like to see coming up! I would love to hear from you. 💕

Hey y’all, thanks for popping in! My guess is if you clicked on this blog post, then you are also pretty excited for Fall to be here in exactly one week! I’m not usually one to rush into the next season too quickly, so I’m recapping my favorite Fall looks from last year for now. I hope these outfits bring you some inspo for this season! Some of the items I’ve linked are exact items, and some are very similar items! I also linked at the bottom several pieces that I’ve added to my closet this year, as well as things that I have my eye on and haven’t pulled the trigger yet! Let me know what you are adding to your Fall wardrobe this year. ☺️
Items on my wish list // items I’ve recently ordered for this season:
One of my favorite accessories that I wear on the daily is a watch! That’s why when Jord reached out to me, I was immediately so excited. Whether I’m dressing up or staying casual, I love the element of sophistication/class/edge a watch can bring to an outfit. (Contest details will be at the end of this post!)
The Cassia watch by Jord, in my opinion, checks all of those boxes. I love the unique design and attention to detail of each watch on their site. The large, sleek face and thin, feminine band is the perfect balance for me on this watch. It’s bold without being bulky, which fits into my personal style so well.
I want to tell you a little bit more about the brand, since they have so many different styles of watches to choose from for men and women! They are a St. Louis brand, and their name is actually pronounced “Yode” (I was sorta bummed about this because my husband’s name is Jordan lol!).
Anyway, all of their watches are handcrafted and made from all different kinds of wood! When you order from Jord, you measure your wrist for the perfect fit, and you are able to make customizations like mixing and matching faces and woods or engraving (makes for a really special gift idea). They also have smartwatch bands! I’m so excited to partner with Jord for this blog post! As always, thank you so much or reading, and don’t forget to enter for a 10% discount and a chance to win $100 towards a watch!
Here is the contest link for you to enter to win $100 towards your own watch! Just by entering, you will also receive 10% off of your entire purchase!
Here are some other helpful links you may be interested in to help you shop:
I have had the same hair dresser for over 10 years in Cary!! She is so awesome and knows my hair so well now.She is the only person I trust to cut and color my hair! If you are local and want her info, just leave me a message on Instagram.
How often do you get your hair colored/cut?
This varies depending on my schedule.Usually, I go every 6-7 weeks, but sometimes I’ll only go 5 weeks. (It just depends on how long you’re happy going without freshening up! We definitely do not do my full head of hair every time—Just a partial every other time.I also get my hair trimmed every time I get it done! It is so much more manageable that way.(I am OCD about split ends.)
Do you wear extensions, and have you ever?
Nope! I get this question all the time.I have never gotten hair extensions put in. I have looked into youtube videos of other girls who have, and it just doesn’t seem like something that I’d like, plus it does cause a bit of breakage. My hair is also pretty thick and time consuming to style at times as it is.
Is your hair naturally blonde? How do you achieve the hair color/tone that you have?
My hair is naturally darker blonde! It continues to get a bit darker as I get older. It was much lighter when I was younger.Ashley highlights and lowlights my whole head.We try to keep it as natural-looking as possible. The lowlight she mixes up for me is usually a super cool tone mixed with another lowlight that has some warmth in it.It’ll be different with each person depending on the natural tone and darkness/lightness of your natural hair! Ever other time, Ashley puts a slight toner on my hair mixed with a glaze (makes my hair more ash, plus nourishes it and gives it added shine). Other times, she will put a hair glaze on without toner in it. I also use this purple shampoo about once a week to maintain my tone in between appointments.
How often do you wash your hair?
Every 3-4 days.My hair is pretty thick and has more of a coarse/dry texture. However, you can train your hair to go longer in between washes even if you have fine hair!
What tool do you use to curl your hair?
I have usedthis basic curling iron all through college, and I still use it.I took the clamp off with a screw driver several years ago, and voila! DIY hair wand.
Do you take hair vitamins?
I don’t! I have been looking into taking Nutrafol hair vitamins that Dani Austin and Olivia Rink have written about recently. However, they are pretty pricey and I’m not sure if they are worth it!
Products that help grow your hair longer and prevent breakage??
I swear by this product by Redken. I have used this product longer than any other hair product I own. There is no telling how many I have purchased over and over.So great to improve the strength of your hair!A more recent item that I love is this hair brush. It is so gentle, and gets out allll of my tangles wet or dry. I also love to use this while blow drying my hair!
Extra Hair Tips:
If you wash your hair every day, try to start going longer without washing it. Washing and styling more than you need to just increases the amount of mechanical and heat damage done to your hair. I used to hate doing this with working out/sweating ect.Something that really helps me is blow drying my hair on a cool setting after working out and spraying dry shampoo. Also, figure out hairstyles that work well with your second/third/fourth day hair.I really love watching this girl’s youtube channel for tips: Twist Me Pretty // Abby Smith
Let your hair air dry as much as possible. I usually wash my hair at night so I can sit and let it air dry to about 90% before a blow dry it.
Find a hair style you like that doesn’t require any heat, so you can give your hair a break sometimes.
Try to lessen the amount of hair spray you use—it builds up on your hair over time and causes breakage.Instead, I use this texture spray on my curls.
Be SUPER gentle with your hair when it’s wet. This is when it is most fragile.Blot your hair with a towel instead of rubbing, and use a gentle hair brush.
Sleep on a silk pillow case!!! I cannot recommend this enough. I love mine so so much. It is gentle on your hair and skin, as some fabrics can “rough up” your hair.
If there are any questions I didn’t answer, feel free to leave me a comment below or on my Instagram! Happy Sunday, y’all. 🙂
