If you have missed out on online orders shipping before Christmas (like me), no worries! I have put together this gift guide, and you can purchase everything right from one of Pink Magnolia’s stores (Cary or Morrisville)! There are certainly so many more options, however, these five items are my personal favorites and I highly recommend them! The best part of these gifts is that they are no brainers–You don’t have to worry about purchasing the right size! All of these items are so versatile for any age as well. I own and love several of these gift options, and my mom and grandmother do too. Pink Magnolia makes shopping for all of the special ladies in your life easy. 🙂
I hope this helps spark some ideas for your Christmas shopping!
I got a lot of questions about different items I wore on my Charleston trip, so I thought I would compile them all in a blog post for y’all! A few of the items are older, and I added links to similar or newer versions of them! I’m working on a traveling guide of all the food and views that I love in Charleston as well! I’ll have it up by the end of the week! 🙂
Jeans are definitely my comfort item, and I have quite an abundance of them (My most purchased clothing item, and I never get rid of any lol). Good, comfortable jeans are staples that everyone should have in their closet. I’m sharing my favorite brands to buy jeans from in this post! These are all jeans that I truly love the fit and feel of. I’ll link some of the specific styles with pictures below.
Express : I decided to list this one first because they are on sale! I catch these on sale pretty often, so I have several! Particularly, my favorite are the mid-rise jeggings.
2. Madewell: These Jeans are the most expensive on my list, and by far the best quality. They are a thicker, true-denim fabric (but still have some stretch). I also think that these jeans have the most “classic” fit out of any that I own. My favorite are the 9″ High rise skinny jean.
9″ Skinny Raw Hem (Note: the 10″ High rise means an extra inch higher in the waist, and they actually fit a lot differently! I can wear the 9″ and not the 10″.)
3. Articles of Society: These jeans are the stretchiest jeans that I own. So, if you are looking for ultimate comfort and a more casual jean, look no further! You can also find this brand at Pink Magnolia!
4. Just Black Denim: I discovered this brand through Pink Magnolia, and omg they are so great! They fit like a glove! I wear Just Black Denim in almost every photo on Pink Magnolia’s website that you see me in a pair of jeans. I get the most questions about these jeans when I wear them! Great brand- Born and made in U.S.A.
Bringing y’all a classic and timeless outfit for fall today. 🙂 I hope you enjoy! I am a fan of no-brainer outfits to put together. This plaid skirt goes perfect with the basics that you have in your closet already! Add a fitted black or white shirt and some booties, and you’re good to go! Also looks great with tights and flats, or over the knee boots. Truly so many options with this one. Outfit details linked below. Have a wonderful Sunday, friends.
Plaid Skirt wearing a S (Also can purchase in-store at Pink Magnolia!)
There’s something satisfying about finding a unique piece of clothing/accessory that you know not everyone is going to have. That’s why I love to pop in to Dress whenever I get the chance to browse around. Dress is a local designer resale boutique where you can shop or consign high end bags, jewelry, shoes, clothes, and more. Several pieces in my closet have come from Dress, and I frequently get questions on where I got them. This fringe jacket that I found is no exception–It is so fun and unique! It is certainly a special occasion piece, but I have found several staples at dress as well (work totes, purses, accessories.)
I really appreciate having a boutique like this nearby where I can actually see the item in person before purchasing. Sometimes purchasing high end items from others off of ebay/facebook is not as comforting in my opinion. I like to have as little stress as possible when shopping, so that is a plus for me!
Dress has two different locations in Raleigh, but they also have an instagram account that they update daily when they receive new arrivals! (@dressraleigh)
I love sharing local places with y’all! If you have not checked them out yet, I recommend that you do! As always, thanks for reading.
Hey there! I love talking about my favorite local spots, so here are a few of my favorite places for date night or for those nights that you simply want to get dressed up and grab a glass of wine and a great meal with the girls! I’ll be honest, Jordan and I don’t get dressed up for “date night” often, but we do enjoy the places below when we are wanting to escape to something a little more romantic and elegant.
(dress linked at the bottom of my post)
I’ll start with The Verandah, since that is where this first photo was taken! This is located inside of the Mayton Inn in downtown Cary. First of all, The Mayton Inn is gorgeous, so of course the restaurant inside is also just as elegant. Plus, it has a wonderful outdoor brick patio for those cool evenings that we are all waiting for here in the south lol. The bar is also calm and classy if you want to pop in just for a drink. Order the truffle fries!
Peak City Grill
I personally love this place because of the history. My family owns and runs a feed store that has been in business since 1885, so historic buildings are so special to me. The building Peak City Grill is in has been all sorts of things in the past like a hardware and feed store as well. This is a wonderful spot for a quiet, relaxed evening in downtown Apex. I just love the interior brick walls and antique lighting. It is for sure my kind of atmosphere.
This is absolutely a local Italian favorite. Fun Fact: this building actually used to be a BBQ joint manyyy years ago! It has certainly changed, and they are booked up every single night pretty much. So, be sure to make a reservation! My favorite item on the menu is penne a la casa with shrimp, but honestly, I could eat the bread and marinara for my whole meal–it’s that good.
The Angus Barn
Okay, I HAD to include this (I did get married there after all). There is honestly nothing that beats the atmosphere, service, experience, and food in my opinion. There is simply no place else like The Angus Barn. My family has always celebrated our most special events in life there. This will always be my most favorite place to go. If you have never been around Christmas time, make sure you go–They have the most incredible Christmas decor!
I could talk on and on about these places, but I prefer to keep my posts short and sweet! If you haven’t tried these places, I hope you are now inspired to do so!
I don’t know about y’all, but my feed has been flooded with all kinds of beautiful engagements recently. So, I’m feeling inspired to write about something wedding related of course (My one year anniversary is coming up!). Any excuse to reminisce on my big day! 🙂
Since I purchased my gown locally, I thought that it may be beneficial for all of those local brides out there to read! My gown came from Lana Addison (an adorable little bridal boutique) in Downtown Cary, and was originally in two pieces! I picked out the top and the bottom separately to create my gown, which ended up being the best way for me to customize. I was able to add a silk ribbon to the waist and delicate straps to the lace top. I loved the mixture of textures between my top and bottom (Originally, I thought that I wanted a completely lace gown.) My top and bottom were both Martina Liana, and I’ll link both below!
Lana Addison was actually the very first place that I went when I began trying on gowns. I visited 4 other places after, and ended up right back where I started, because nothing could beat the combo that I tried on there. I really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect gown! Good luck to those newly engaged brides out there hunting for their gowns. I hope that sharing my experience with you helped!
Hey there! I have put together a small list of things I have learned throughout the way so far being a realtor. However, I believe that this list can be applied to anyone’s career! I really enjoyed writing this post, and I hope that some of you find it helpful!
Keep yourself disciplined, and set goals for yourself. It is so easy to slack off and stay on the couch an extra 30 minutes when you don’t have to be at a meeting at 9am. This isn’t your typical 9-5 job that most people pursue after college. It is so nice working for yourself, but you have to stay focused. That means you have to schedule everyyyything. Working out, going out to lunch, making calls, listing appointments, anything!
Networking. Every event is an opportunity to build your business. Talk to people! Now, I don’t recommend passing out business cards at a wedding lol, but DO always keep business cards on you, and be aware of appropriate situations to chat about your business (tailgating, running to Starbucks, going shopping, eating out, etc).
Find things that keep you motivated. I listen to podcasts about time blocking, organization, etc. when I’m driving to a listing that is far away. I’ll leave a link down below of the podcasts I find to be helpful–even if you are not a real estate agent!
Keep in touch with people. Tell your friends and family what you are doing! No one will know that you are a real estate agent if you are quiet about it. Ask your friends and family if they know anyone that you could help. Referrals are the best!
Teach people how to treat you. It’s a terrible stereotype that real estate agents work around everyone else’s schedules and don’t have a schedule of their own–This gives me anxiety! You can’t expect to build a business without having a true schedule with guidelines. Set aside appropriate times for appointments for the week. People will respect working with an organized professional.
Thank y’all for stopping by! I really appreciate the support (I know there are millions of blogs out there). So, I appreciate you following along. For my first post, I want to take the time to talk a little bit about why I started this blog in the first place and what kind of content I plan to put out!
Back in February, I had the wonderful opportunity to join the Pink Magnolia team modeling for their site. At the time, I was working at a job that I was unsatisfied with, and photo-shoots were something I was able to look forward to each week. I have had the most fun and have learned so much about photography throughout the past several months working with Allison, Pink Magnolia’s photographer, and now a good friend of mine! I quickly became inspired to produce my own content!
For a few more months, I continued to work my regular job in addition to the weekly photo-shoots for Pink Magnolia. Then, in May, I came across another opportunity to work for myself as a real estate agent with Keller Williams. I quit my job and dove right into a month full of training and networking. I learned more in one month with my current job than I did in 11 months of my previous job. Needless to say, it has been an incredible and challenging experience so far! I really enjoy working for myself, making my own schedule and staying busy.
You can expect anything from fashion to real estate posts from me in the future! I plan to keep my posts short and sweet, while sharing what I learn along the way. Thank y’all so much for reading!
