My Blog Just Got Better With LikeToKnowIT

IMG_8507.JPG

I have been doing a lot of work over here on the blog this past week, and I’m so excited to share with y’all how it just got better!  After almost a year of blogging, so many of you have showed so much love, kind words and support, and I am SO thankful for that.  I really did not know where I was going with my blog when I first started it. I just knew that I liked to produce content and share about things that I love.

Well, now that I am a part of the LikeToKnowIt fam, I am able to share looks with you that you can shop instantly without having to track down specific items! What is the LikeToKnowIt app?  It is a platform for Influencers that is integrated with Instagram. It allows me to link every item in my Instagram posts for you to shop. Simply follow me on the app, and you can screenshot my Instagram photo, and an email will be directly sent to you with all of the outfit/makeup/home decor details.  You can also shop directly within the LikeToKnowIt app by clicking on pictures, and all of the item details will pop up below.  I have been using it on the consumer side for a while now, and I love how easy it is to use and find items.  I will put some step by step photos on how to use the app at the end of this post!  Don’t want to download the app? No worries, you can still shop my looks under the shop tab above.

**I do receive a small commission from you using my links that does NOT cost you as the consumer any extra money, so I really appreciate when you shop through my links!**

How to use the LikeToKnowIt app:

  1.  First, download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app from the App Store.

Butterfly Bridal Shoot

This shoot was so much fun! Jordan and I truly had a wonderful time working with all of the vendors involved. Many aspects of this shoot were unique!  I’ll start by talking about the venue.  This shoot took place at the Museum of Life and Sciences in Durham, which includes a butterfly exhibit and garden. These components definitely create a romantic fairytale-like setting.

I enjoyed getting ready for this shoot because it is a style completely different from what my personal wedding day was.  Also, the ladies that helped me get glammed up are so sweet and talented!  The theme of this shoot was “Boho,” which is far more trendy than my typical classic style. 🙈  Theresa and Renee did such an awesome job transforming me into a polished boho bride!

The photographer for this shoot was so fun to work with. He gives wonderful direction, as well as has a great imagination that captures the scene.  During some of the shots, he told Jordan to whisper different types of cereals in my ear to make me laugh, which was silly but totally worked! We loved working with him. 🙂

One of the vendors that stood out to me was Barbox, which is a mobile-bar service you can have at your wedding! What a cool idea–Especially for venues that do not have a dedicated bar space. It creates a great photo-op as well.

A little behind the scenes info–The dress in this shoot did not fit at all! We clipped the dress with some heavy duty clips either in the front or the back for every shot.  Besides that, I loved this style of dress. It fits the boho/trendy vibe, but it is timeless at the same time.

I’m personally an all white flowers kinda girl for weddings, but the color scheme in this shoot was really fun. The yellow flowers really played off of the blue accents, and represented the venue space well.

All of this of course wouldn’t have been accomplished without a wedding planner to fit the many moving pieces together.  Thank you, Hillary for organizing this shoot!  This created a wonderful opportunity to get so many different creative minds involved.

My First Post!

StairsBLOGAug23

Thank y’all for stopping by!  I really appreciate the support (I know there are millions of blogs out there).  So, I appreciate you following along.  For my first post, I want to take the time to talk a little bit about why I started this blog in the first place and what kind of content I plan to put out!

Back in February, I had the wonderful opportunity to join the Pink Magnolia team modeling for their site.  At the time, I was working at a job that I was unsatisfied with, and photo-shoots were something I was able to look forward to each week. I have had the most fun and have learned so much about photography throughout the past several months working with Allison, Pink Magnolia’s photographer, and now a good friend of mine!  I quickly became inspired to produce my own content!

For a few more months, I continued to work my regular job in addition to the weekly photo-shoots for Pink Magnolia.  Then, in May, I came across another opportunity to work for myself as a real estate agent with Keller Williams.  I quit my job and dove right into a month full of training and networking.  I learned more in one month with my current job than I did in 11 months of my previous job. Needless to say, it has been an incredible and challenging experience so far!  I really enjoy working for myself, making my own schedule and staying busy.

You can expect anything from fashion to real estate posts from me in the future! I plan to keep my posts short and sweet, while sharing what I learn along the way.  Thank y’all so much for reading!

Talk to you soon 🙂
